We have had the pleasure of working with Evergreen Homes for over 10 years, and their extensive knowledge of home building and the pride they take in their work has made it a wonderful partnership.
When they reached out to us for a contribution to their quarterly newsletter, we were excited about the opportunity to provide some recommendations for any new home. From color choices to selecting finishes, you have likely spent many hours planning and detailing every aspect of the interior of your home. Shouldn’t the outside of your house be as awesome as the inside? That’s what landscaping is all about.
Planning your outdoor living space
J’s Custom Landscaping can bring your personality and taste to an area of your new home that should not be overlooked. A common mistake in planning for an outdoor area is to underestimate the space you’ll need to achieve your goals. Imagine trying to cram more than 4 or 5 guests into a 10′ x 10′ dining room, and you quickly realize that you need to reexamine your plan.
The most important parts of your outdoor living space need to be accounted for in the planning phase. Ask yourself questions about how you want the space to function and what kinds of activities you want to be able to accommodate. That might mean providing room for tables and chairs, raised garden boxes, an outdoor kitchen, or even a cascading waterfall.
Creative and space-saving seating
Finding clever ways to build adequate seating right into the existing space is one request we often receive. One way we accomplish this is to add a sitting wall around a portion of the perimeter of the patio. Not only does this bring additional visual interest to the design, but it also helps you provide that seating economically.
Turning plans into reality
Our expertise extends far beyond just grass and bark dust! From paver patios and fire pits to pergolas and outdoor lighting, a custom landscape can be crafted to perfectly suit your needs.
A landscape designed by J’s will allow you to enjoy the outside of your home year round. Whether you want a spot to relax with a good book or a place to host guests and have an outdoor party, we have the tools and know-how to make that into a reality.
Consider including an outdoor living space to complement the beautiful interior of your new home. Give us a call about creating an outdoor living space for you.
